The Kharkiv TV tower, destroyed by a Russian strike, can be restored only after the end of hostilities, given the complexity of its construction. This was stated by Ivan Sokol, Director of the Civil Protection Department of the Kharkiv RMA, during a telethon.

"If we take into account the way in which it (the TV tower) was built, its restoration is possible after the end of hostilities," the official said.

According to him, experts will assess the possibility of restoring the TV tower after disassembling the damaged equipment.

He also noted that the attack on the highest object in the city could be an attempt by the Russians to psychologically influence the residents.

"Of course, it worried people a bit. I think this attack was aimed at scaring the population of Kharkiv region a little bit," Sokol said.

The official said that currently there is no digital television in Kharkiv and neighboring settlements.
