G7 and NATO react to Iran's attack on Israel: what was stated

"The Group of Seven (G7) issued a joint statement after an online meeting on Iran's attack on Israel. NATO also reacted to the Iranian attack. This was reported by the White House press service.

"We, the leaders of the G7, unequivocally condemn Iran's direct and unprecedented attack on Israel in the strongest terms. Iran fired hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel. Israel, with the help of its partners, repelled the attack," the G7 said in a statement released by the White House.

The G7 leaders also expressed "full solidarity and support" to Israel and its people and reaffirmed their commitment to its security.

"By its actions, Iran has taken a further step towards destabilizing the region and risks provoking an uncontrolled regional escalation. This must be avoided. We will continue to work to stabilize the situation and avoid further escalation," the G7 leaders said in a statement.

At the same time, the G7 leaders called on Iran and its supporters to stop their attacks on Israel.

"And we stand ready to take further action now and in response to further destabilizing initiatives," the G7 statement said.
