Over the past few weeks, Russia has put 6 gigawatts of Ukraine's energy capacity out of commission with missile strikes. 80% of thermal power plants have been destroyed. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal in an interview with the Estonian National Broadcasting.


"Unfortunately, Russia continues its energy terror - in recent weeks alone, the Russians have destroyed more than 6 gigawatts of our power grid capacity. This includes hydropower and coal power," he said.


According to him, Russia continues to fire missiles at energy facilities, destroying transformers and generators.


"Unfortunately, in recent weeks Russia has destroyed 80% of thermal power plants," Shmyhal said.
