On the night of April 4, Russians launched 20 drones into Kharkiv region. Air defense forces managed to destroy 11 of them. During the telethon, Air Force spokesman Illia Yevlash explained the difficulties of the air defense operation that night.
According to Yevlash, Kharkiv region was attacked by two groups of attack drones from different directions.
First, after midnight, a group of 10 UAVs flew into Kharkiv region from Russia and headed directly toward the regional center. A little later, another group of "Shaheds" took off from Mykolaiv region, which also moved to Kharkiv region through a number of regions.
"Unfortunately, due to the proximity of the first group of drones to the border with Russia, it was not possible to shoot down all enemy targets," emphasized the spokesman.
Yevlash noted that Russians are accumulating resources for possible massive attacks in the future.
"The enemy is accumulating its resources for the next massive attacks after preparation, reconnaissance and analysis of the actions it is currently conducting. We are ready to repel (attacks), reload, and move," emphasized Yevlash.
