Last night, Russian troops massively attacked Kharkiv with Shaheds. As a result of the attack, there are casualties and injuries in the city, including employees of the State Emergency Service.
According to Oleh Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv RMA, starting at 01:16, the enemy launched at least 15 enemy drones at Kharkiv, some of which were shot down by air defense forces.
Later, the Ukrainian Air Force clarified that the enemy attacked Kharkiv and the region with 20 Shaheds, 11 of which were destroyed.
However, there were also hits. They were recorded in Novobavarsky, Slobidsky, and Saltivsky districts of the city.
The first drone hit a three-story building in Novobavarsky district. When rescuers arrived to clear the rubble in the three-story residential building, the Russians shelled the place again. As a result, three rescuers were killed - they were drivers of the State Emergency Service. In addition, a police officer was seriously injured. There were four UAV hits on civilian infrastructure in the area.
Residential buildings, shops, trade pavilions, pharmacies, cars, and a hospital were damaged.
Another strike hit a 14-story building. Apartments from the 8th to the 12th floor were damaged. A 68-year-old woman died.
Later, at 02:49, the Russians struck the Saltivsky district, without causing any casualties.
In total, the attack damaged three high-rise buildings, three fire and rescue vehicles, two ambulances, a hospital, and a police administrative building.
A total of 4 people died as a result of the shelling (including three employees of the State Emergency Service). Another 12 people were injured. Among the injured are an emergency nurse who arrived at the scene with a team to provide assistance, as well as a rescuer.
It is also known that among the victims is a 67-year-old man who was trapped under the rubble in a three-story residential building.
About 10 rescuers were involved in the operation, which lasted about three hours. They used a hand-held hydraulic tool and a jack to unblock the man and handed him over to paramedics.
The police also showed the first minutes after the attack. The video was posted by Oleksiy Biloshitsky, First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department of Ukraine.
"The terrorist country continues to attack civilians using the tactic of "double strikes," Biloshitsky said.
The head of the Kharkiv Police Investigation Department, Serhiy Bolvinov, showed a video of the second strike on Kharkiv, when all services arrived at the site of the hit. The police investigator and the operative who filmed the footage managed to escape. As reported, three employees of the State Emergency Service died on the spot. The Ministry of Internal Affairs gave their names - they are Loginov Vladyslav, Baidalinov Serhiy, and Matyushenko Volodymyr.
"Vladyslav will forever be 52, Serhiy will be 32, and Volodymyr will be 41. They will remain in our ranks forever," the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
