Blinken announces "critical moment" in Ukraine's war with Russia

Ukraine is at a "critical moment" in the war with the Russian occupiers. It is now necessary to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with artillery and air defense systems. This was stated by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in a statement to Reuters.


The US Secretary of State is on a visit to France, where he met with Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu.


"It is absolutely essential to provide Ukrainians with what they need to defend themselves, especially when it comes to ammunition and air defense," the US Secretary of State emphasized during a conversation with journalists.


He added that such needs of Ukrainians are another reason why the US Congress should fulfill President Joe Biden's request to allocate new funds to finance aid to Ukraine.
