Evacuation of population from Kharkiv is not planned yet, - Mayor Terekhov

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said that despite the difficult situation in the city, neither the authorities nor the military see the need for evacuation.

"The evacuation is coming from the region where hostilities are ongoing. And these people are going to Kharkiv. Now there are 1.3 million people in the city. So far, neither we nor the military see any reason to evacuate from Kharkiv. This is a part of the Russian IPSO to intimidate and make the citizens nervous," Terekhov emphasized.

According to him, despite this, "no one gives up."

"We have Points of invincibility working around the clock. During the two days of the last blackout after the shelling, 28,000 Kharkiv residents came there. Schools provide free meals. Over the year, we have distributed 10 million meals. We have gone through more difficult times, and we will survive these," the mayor summarized.
