The wave of warm air from the western Mediterranean that brought warming to Ukraine has also captured dust from the Sahara, which will cover the entire country on April 1. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

"Residents of the western region could observe it yesterday, and today the dust will spread to most regions of Ukraine. The sky will be foggy," the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center said.

Forecasters recommend keeping windows closed and walking less outside, despite the warm weather, as the dust can be harmful to people with respiratory diseases, the elderly and children.

"This dust creates the effect of a foggy sky, and haze can be observed in the ground layer. Dust concentrations do not exceed the maximum permissible standards," the statement said.
