On the night of March 27, Russia fired 13 Shaheds at Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 10 kamikaze drones. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.


"At night, the Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine using 13 Shahed UAVs. The forces and means of air defense of Ukraine destroyed 10 UAVs," the statement said.

The commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk confirmed the results of the night air defense work. According to him, the launches came from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. Air defense was operating in Kharkiv, Sumy and Kyiv regions.


Anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare equipment of the Air Force were deployed to repel the attack.


In total, over the past day, the Russian military launched five missile and 74 air strikes.


The Russians also fired 152 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.
