Night attack on Ukraine: 17 out of 22 UAVs shot down

On the night of March 18, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with Shahed attack drones. The defense forces destroyed 17 units of drones. This was reported by the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force.


At night, the Russians attacked Kharkiv region with five S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles, two X-59 guided missiles in Sumy region, and 22 Shahed-type attack drones. The areas where the drones were launched were Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia.


"Anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and the Ground Forces, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and electronic warfare equipment were involved in repelling the air attack," the Air Force said.


As a result of combat operations, 17 Shaheds were shot down in Kyiv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia and Rivne regions.
