A Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group tried to break into the territory of the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine. There was a fight. This was reported by the Russian publication Mash.
It is noted that the incident allegedly took place in the area of Novaya Tavolzhanka, Belgorod region.
"According to our data, about 15 saboteurs armed with M4 assault rifles, a full set of ammunition, grenades and explosives such as C4 were met by fire from our border guards and pushed back to the territory of Ukraine. Preliminary, at least five militants were eliminated," the statement said.
The Ukrainian side has not officially commented on the penetration of the subversive group into the territory of the Russian Federation.
