The Office of the President of Ukraine welcomes the discussion by the West about sending its troops to Ukraine. Advisor to the President Mykhailo Podolyak noted that this indicates an awareness of the risks of Russian aggression. This was reported by Reuters.


"This indicates, first of all, an absolute awareness of the risks posed to Europe by militaristic, aggressive Russia," Podolyak said in a written commentary on Macron's statement.


According to the advisor, the opening of the discussion on the possibility of direct support for Ukraine by the armed forces should be seen as a desire to place the right emphasis and highlight the risks more clearly.


He also noted that at this stage it is important to speed up the supply of military equipment to Ukraine.
