Polish farmers continue to block five checkpoints on the border with Ukraine: 1400 trucks in line

As of the morning of February 16, Polish farmers are blocking five checkpoints on the border with Ukraine. There are 1400 trucks in the queues. This was stated by Andriy Demchenko, a representative of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, during a telethon.

"These are the directions of the Yagodyn, Rava-Ruska, Shehyni, Ustyluh, Uhryniv checkpoints," he said.

According to him, there are 1400 trucks in queues on the Polish side, most of them are in front of the Yagodyn and Rava-Ruska checkpoints. The smallest number of trucks is opposite the Ustyluh and Uhryniv checkpoints.

Demchenko noted that carriers are looking for directions to cross the border at those checkpoints where it is possible.

"One of them is the Krakowiec checkpoint, and as of this morning there are queues there as well. These are 1700 trucks, which is the largest queue in all directions on the border with Poland," he said.

The spokesperson also said that the queues are growing and the number of crossings remains low, especially in the direction of Yagodyn, where only 145 trucks crossed in both directions over the past day, given that this direction can pass 1200-1400 trucks.

"But the situation is worse at Shehyni because only a few dozen trucks have crossed the border there per day in recent days," he said.
