Putin spoke in favor of Biden's election victory: Trump called it a compliment

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called for the election victory of current US President Joe Biden, who, according to him, is "more predictable" than former US leader Donald Trump. The latter called Putin's words a "compliment," ABC News reports.

"Biden. He's a more experienced person, he's predictable, he's an old-style politician," Putin told Russian journalists.

For his part, Trump said he took the words as a compliment.

"He just said that he would like to see Joe Biden as president, not Trump. That's a compliment. A lot of people said: 'Oh, my God, that's very bad. No, no, it's good," said the 45th president of the United States.

He added: "It is not surprising that Putin wants to see Biden in this position."

Trump recalled that during his presidency, he imposed sanctions against the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, but the Biden administration lifted those sanctions in May 2021.
