The ceiling in the Kharkiv subway has started to leak due to constant Russian shelling, the press service of the Kharkiv metro reported.
"Due to the constant rocket attacks on Kharkiv, landslides are occurring in the city, and due to the fact that there have been numerous rocket hits in the immediate vicinity of the Sportivna metro station, there has been a slight leakage from the ceiling of the station," the statement said.
According to reports, last week, subway employees started work to eliminate the leakage and the work is ongoing.
"These works require a significant amount of time and can be performed only at night, when there is no passenger transportation," the agency emphasized.
It is noted that the leak does not pose a threat to the flooding of the station and the safety of passenger transportation.
