The Ukrainian military is working to neutralize the threat posed by Starlink satellite communication terminals used by Russian troops at the front. Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, said this during a telethon.
"Indeed, Russia continues to work through the so-called parallel import, in fact, smuggling. And yes, through third countries. We will not name specific countries, and this information needs to be clarified, but Starlink is freely available in Russia on open online platforms," he said.
According to Yusov, compared to last year, the use of Starlink in the Russian army on the front line has become more systematic and well-established.
"That is, the occupiers rely on these devices,. So, of course, we are working to neutralize this threat. We will not disclose these details now," he said.
At the same time, he added that no one claims that Starlink is officially being sold to the Russians.
"But today Russia is not only the No. 1 terrorist state, but also the No. 1 smuggler state. So, yes, this is a problem that is being worked on today," the GUR representative said.
