Operators are being trained in Syria to control Iranian-made UAVs that will be used in the war against Ukraine, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on Monday morning.

"The training for the Muscovites is being conducted by the Lebanese Hezbollah Police and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on the territory of the Syrian military airfield Shayrat. The Lebanese-Iranian-Russian training course involves mastering the Shahed-136 and Ababil-3 UAVs, as well as the Raad remote-controlled aircraft," the statement said.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the military exercises are headed by one of Hezbollah's commanders, Kamal Abu Sadik, who specializes in the manufacture and maintenance of drones.

"Together with the Russians, Syrian mercenaries are training, whom Moscow plans to use in the war against Ukraine as UAV operators," the GUR said.
