Russian troops shelled Selydove in Donetsk region at night, leaving one dead and seven wounded, including a 7-year-old child, said Vadym Filashkin, head of the RMA.
"At least 1 person was killed and 7 wounded as a result of the night shelling of Selydove. Among the injured is a child born in 2017," he wrote on Telegram.
According to Filashkin, the Russians shelled the city seven times, damaging 7 multi-storey buildings, 3 private houses, 3 educational institutions and an administrative building. In addition, 8 cars were damaged.
"These are only the preliminary results. We are establishing the exact scale of the damage," emphasized the head of the RMA.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, the shelling killed a 50-year-old woman who worked as a watchman and was in the office building. Her body was unblocked from the rubble of the destroyed administrative building.
Seven civilians were injured: four women aged 38 to 88, two men aged 18 and 51, and a 6-year-old boy. All of them were taken to hospital with mine-blast injuries and bruises. The child was also diagnosed with a cut wound to the head. All of them were at their places of residence.
Several residential buildings and educational institutions were damaged at the sites of enemy missiles, the type of which is being investigated, and some of them were destroyed.
