In the coming weeks, Ukraine will sign contracts to produce FPV drones similar to Russia's Lancet UAVs with a 40 km range, Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development and Minister of Digital Transformation, said at the Business Breakfast Forbes Ukraine on Wednesday.
"In the range of up to 20 km, we have a large number of copters there. But we need to hit at 40 km, and drones like Lancet are quite high-tech, and it took six months to accelerate the market in this direction. Now there are a number of companies on the radar, and we are testing products," said Fedorov.
According to him, there are already combat applications of such drones, but so far they are only a few.
"It's hard for me to say specific dates, but I think that within two months, information will start to appear in Russian publics about how their tanks are burning," Fedorov emphasized.
