Verkhovna Rada approves law on strengthening mobilization in the first reading (UPDATED)

The Verkhovna Rada has approved in the first reading a draft law on strengthening mobilization. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram.


243 MPs supported the draft law, 12 voted against it, and 45 abstained.


"The draft law was adopted without the Committee's proposals. Next, amendments will be made by February 21 and the second reading will take place," Zheleznyak said.


According to him, the draft law as a whole is likely to be adopted in the last week of February, signed in early March, and will come into force in a month, that is, in April.

The law on mobilization will come into effect approximately by April, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said. The second reading is tentatively scheduled for February 21, during which time amendments will be made to the draft law.
