Ihnat: Russia has increased the use of ballistic missiles for strikes on Ukraine

Russia has increased the use of ballistic missiles in its shelling of Ukraine. This was announced by the spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ihnat, during a telethon.

In particular, these are Iskander-M missiles, as well as Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, X-22 cruise missiles and S-300 missiles.

"The enemy understands that we have certain capabilities to shoot down Shaheds, cruise missiles, the percentage of which is quite high, so they often resort to use of ballistics, which can only be shot down by special means, which we do not have so much of," explained Ihnat.

He also noted that there is a passive defense against ballistics, and the enemy often hits false targets.

"And often ballistics do not reach where they are supposed to. There are various reasons for this, one of them is that the quality of the missiles is getting worse," the Air Force representative said.
