The European Union will be able to provide Ukraine with only 600,000 shells by March, not the million that was previously promised. This is happening amid constant production delays and depletion of stocks. Bloomberg writes about this with reference to European diplomats.
According to them, at a meeting of defense ministers in Brussels this week, they may try to increase the total volume of supplies. But the goal of one million set last year will not be reached.
The publication notes that Ukraine lacks artillery shells and air defense missiles to protect cities. According to the Estonian Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian troops shoot an average of one-third less than Russians. At the same time, Russia plans to receive about 4.5 million shells of its own production and supplies from North Korea.
