Ukrainians will be cut off from electricity for non-payment: details

Starting from today, January 29, debtors will be cut off from electricity. This applies to those who owe for a year or more. Yasno CEO Serhiy Kovalenko said this during a telethon.

According to him, this does not mean that everyone who has debts will receive a notice of disconnection on January 29.

"We rank the debtors from the highest to the lowest. The second criterion is the depth of the debt: there are those who owe for one month, and this is not such a big problem, we communicate with them. And there are those who owe for a year or more. The disconnection will take place after receiving a warning: 10 days - and we turn it off," Kovalenko said.

As a reminder, on December 29, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers lifted the moratorium on disconnecting utilities in case of non-payment (Resolution No. 1405).
