Sweden and Great Britain have announced that they are joining the newly created Drone Coalition. The association now includes 4 member countries, according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
"In particular, Swedish Defense Minister Paul Johnson announced this decision during a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine on January 23. The United Kingdom has also announced its intention to join the coalition and become its leader along with Latvia," according to a message in Telegram channel.
The drone and electronic warfare coalition was created by Ukraine and Latvia. The decision was made during the visit of Latvian Defense Minister Andris Sprūds to Kyiv.
"Technology, not people, should fight. The drone coalition will be another step towards realizing this idea. It will save many lives. Strengthening and developing the production of unmanned systems will allow us to transform the army and make the latest technologies a reality today," said Kateryna Chornohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization.
