The EU is working on a new plan to increase military aid to Ukraine: what amount of money is being considered

The European Union is starting to work on a new plan to provide tens of billions of dollars in military aid to Ukraine. These actions were initiated as part of the renewal of a critical aid program, as there are countries that block funding of 50 billion euros. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.

This stage is a response to the increase in bilateral military aid to Ukraine from several European countries, which arose due to the inability of the US Congress to pass a bill on funding.

"Given Ukraine's dependence on external support, the choices made by EU member states and partners in the near future will either allow Ukraine to make decisive progress or seriously undermine its ability to resist," the proposal says.

The new EU plan envisages that more than 20 billion euros of EU funds will be returned to countries over the next four years in exchange for their assistance to Ukraine. It follows weeks of debate between the EU and its member states.
