More than 900 policemen defected to the enemy, - head of the National Police

The head of the National Police, Ivan Vyhovskyi, said in an interview with RBC-Ukraine that about 900 police officers have defected to the enemy throughout Ukraine since the beginning of the great war.

Vyhovskyi was asked whether many police officers remained in the occupied territories and how they work for the enemy.

He replied: "More than 2500 citizens have been documented, if we take into account all categories of collaborators and traitors throughout the territory. About 900 of them are police officers".

According to him, these are mainly those who "did not succeed before the occupation of the territory, violators of discipline, those who did not have a chance to take up leadership positions."

According to the head of the National Police, all these former Ukrainian law enforcement officers believed that they could become "successful" with the enemy.
