Head of the National Police speaks about issuing summonses by police: there are not enough people

Police officers cannot hand out summonses on their own because there are not enough of them physically. This was stated by the head of the National Police Ivan Vyhovskyi in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

He believes that the police is already helping the TCC as much as possible in the search and delivery of evaders.

"But serving summonses and joint patrols is an additional burden, and we do not have the resources to put a police officer near every TCC employee. We are ready to help, but the police will not personally hand out summonses. At least until the law establishes such a rule and it is determined by our function," Vyhovskyi said.

But there will not be enough people to do this if the law is passed.

"I believe that everyone should do their job, but today we do not have enough resources to go around and hand out summonses," said the police chief.
