Electronic register of conscripts will not be hosted in NATO countries - Deputy Defense Minister

The electronic register of conscripts will not be hosted in NATO countries, but will be hosted on Ukrainian servers. This was announced by Deputy Defense Minister Kateryna Chornohorenko during a national telethon.

"It will be hosted on the territory of Ukraine," Chornohorenko said.

The official noted that the register has already been deployed, is working and has received an information protection complex.

She also said that the electronic cabinet of conscripts is planned to be launched in the second quarter of 2024 (April-June).

Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada passed Law No. 10062 on the digitalization of the Armed Forces. It gave the Ministry of Defense the opportunity to strengthen cyber defense and create a unified register of military personnel. The law also authorized the Ministry of Defense to host its IT systems in NATO military cloud storage, which caused a scandal in Ukrainian society.
