The Embassy of Ukraine in Poland has denied the information spread in the media about the extension of temporary protection for Ukrainians until the spring of 2025.
According to the embassy, the extension only affected citizens of third countries (i.e., non-Ukrainians) who were living in Ukraine at the outbreak of the war and fled from hostilities.
As for the rest of the Ukrainian refugees - those who have received a PESEL number with the status of UKR - they can stay in Poland only until March 4 this year. No decision on extension has been made yet.
