France will supply Ukraine with up to 50 A2SM aerial bombs every month until the end of 2024. Paris will also increase the supply of artillery ammunition. This was stated by French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu, Le Figaro reports.
The Minister said that starting in January 2024, France would provide Ukraine with about 50 A2SM (AASM Hammer) air-to-ground bombs. Deliveries will last at least until the end of the year. The bombs will be launched from existing Soviet aircraft, including MiG and Su.
"From February 2022 to the end of 2023, France supplied 2,000 missiles per month to Ukraine, and 3,000 missiles per month since January," he said.
At the same time, he denied that the Russians had seized the initiative at the front, adding that Moscow would not win the war against Ukraine. The minister emphasized that the Russian army's successes are limited to "two kilometers gnawed here and taken back."
"The counteroffensive did not work the way we wanted, but this does not give Putin an advantage," the French Defense Minister said.
