In Ukraine, after January 1, 2025, all unclaimed land plots will be recognized as ownerless and will be transferred to the communal ownership of the territorial community where they are located, said Denys Bashlyk, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization.
"In accordance with parts 4 and 5 of Article 13 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Procedure for Allocating Land Plots in Kind (on the Ground) to Owners of Land Shares (Units)", if the owner of an unclaimed land share (unit) or his or her heir has not registered the ownership of the land plot by January 1, 2025, they are considered to have refused to receive the land plot," he explained on Facebook.
The deputy minister advised everyone who has certificates for a land share that have not been replaced by an extract from the Register of Property Rights to ownership of a land plot to urgently register their ownership.
