The government will additionally allocate almost UAH 800 million to the military. These funds will be spent "on the most urgent needs" of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting.
"Another important decision on the agenda concerns the defense of the state, which is the No. 1 priority for all of us. We are allocating UAH 792 million from the state budget reserve fund to strengthen defense capabilities," Shmyhal said.
According to him, these additional funds are distributed among military units for very urgent needs, such as the purchase of ammunition, thermal imagers and drones.
"We are talking about additional funding for each brigade (in proportion to the personal income tax paid in December)," the Prime Minister noted.
