The drones that attacked Voronezh on the night of January 16 were intended to hit a military target in Russia. Two of the eight UAVs were shot down over the Baltimore airfield. This was reported on the ASTRA Telegram channel.
Earlier, a "drone attack" was reported in the city of Voronezh, which resulted in damage to a building. However, information from ASTRA indicates that 2 drones were shot down in the area of the Baltimore military airfield, and the airfield itself was not damaged.
ASTRA also reported that the wreckage of another UAV was found near a house on Ostrogozka Street, 7 km from the airfield. According to the channel, two more UAVs went down in other villages nearby.
ASTRA's report also provides information on the deployment of the 47th Guards Bomber Regiment at the Baltimore airfield. The channel noted that the airfield has been regularly used by the Russian armed forces for air strikes on the territory of Ukraine since February 2022.
