On Wednesday, January 10, two drones crashed on the territory of the Engels military airfield. This was reported by the Russian Telegram channel ASTRA, citing sources.
According to the public, the drones were shot down over the territory of the Saratov region and crashed on the territory of the Engels 2 military airfield. There is no information on the consequences of the UAV attack.
It is worth noting that earlier the governor of Saratov region, Roman Busargin, said that an aircraft-type drone was destroyed over the territory of the Engels district of the region. Similarly, the Russian Defense Ministry said that an "Ukrainian drone" was shot down by air defense systems over the territory of Saratov region at night.
As a reminder, Engels is home to a military airfield where Russian strategic bombers, including Tu-160 and Tu-95MS, are based, which Russians usually use for massive strikes against Ukraine.
