Prosecutor General's Office: 520 children were killed and 1191 were injured during the war

As of the morning of January 9, 520 children were killed and at least 1191 were injured of varying severity as a result of Russia's full-scale aggression in Ukraine, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reports.


"Children suffered the most in the following regions: Donetsk - 504, Kharkiv - 313, Kherson - 145, Kyiv - 130, Dnipropetrovsk - 111, Zaporizhzhia - 100, Mykolaiv - 97, Chernihiv - 72, Luhansk - 67. On January 8, five children aged 4, 8, 11, 16 and 17 were injured as a result of an enemy rocket attack on Novomoskovsk, Dnipropetrovsk region," the press service reports.


The Prosecutor General's Office noted that these figures are not final.


"Work is underway to establish them in the areas of hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories of Ukraine," the statement reads.
