The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has instructed energy companies to check the legality of granting reservations from mobilization to econscripted workers. This decision was made after the discovery of fraud at Cherkasyoblenergo with a temporary deferral of an employee from the draft. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
It is reported that the reason for this decision was the revealed fact of abuse of office by the former advisor to the Minister of Energy.
According to the management of Ukrainian Distribution Networks JSC, in order to avoid service in the Armed Forces, this person was hired by Cherkasyoblenergo in April last year as deputy head of the central service of accounting devices and metrology.
After that, acting jointly with Cherkasyoblenergo officials, this employee initiated the issuance of an order to introduce remote work. As a result, from April to December, the employee did not perform his duties, although he received a salary, and also received a temporary deferral from mobilization, which is granted to employees of companies and enterprises critical to the functioning of the state.
After discovering this fact, Ukrainian Distribution Networks sent a corresponding appeal to the prosecutor's office.
"We are confident that this unfortunate incident will be properly assessed by law enforcement agencies. The Ministry of Energy emphasizes that this incident does not characterize all power engineers of the country, many of whom are now defending the state in the ranks of the Armed Forces, while others are holding the energy front, doing their extremely difficult job around the clock," the Ministry of Energy emphasized.
The Ministry of Energy has instructed all energy companies to check their employees.
