Ukrainians are advised to be prepared for attacks on critical infrastructure

Ukrainians must be prepared for shelling of critical infrastructure. This was stated by Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, during a telethon.

The spokeswoman explained that she would not want citizens to expect an attack, because thoughts can be material. However, according to her, it is necessary to realize that the danger has not passed. Ukrainians should be ready to respond quickly to danger, including going down to the shelter after an alarm.

"After such massive strikes, there may be consequences, just like we saw yesterday. When power, water and heat are cut off," warned Humeniuk.

She emphasized that it is "necessary" to anticipate such developments.

"Analytics show that the cold snap will continue. Lower temperatures are predicted. This is likely to be a period when the enemy will want to put pressure on energy," the military said.

Humeniuk said that attacks by the Russian Armed Forces on energy facilities are "absolutely not excluded." This means that Ukrainians should be ready for them. In addition, Russia continues to produce and supply ammunition.

"Russia's military-industrial complex continues to function. Yes, with difficulties, yes, slowly, not on the scale they could afford before," explained Humeniuk.

She added that the missiles used by the Russians to hit Kyiv on January 2 were manufactured in 2023.
