Polish farmers from the organization "Podkarpacka oszukana wieś" threaten to resume their protest at the border crossing in Medyka on January 4 if their demands are not met. This was stated by the leader of the organization Roman Kondrów, PAP reports.
He noted that the farmers will decide on Wednesday whether to continue the blockade at the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint.
"If we do not receive a written confirmation that our demands will be met, we will return to the blockade," said the leader of the organization Roman Kondrów.
As Kondrów said on Tuesday, he has not yet received a written assurance that the demands will be met. If Wednesday's talks do not bring any results, the farmers will resume the protest on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. and block the border in Medyka again.
"I have already talked to the police and the crisis group. Everything is ready to continue the protest. But if we receive written assurances that our demands will be met, the protest will definitely end," Kondrów said.
