Ukrainian forces improved the situation southeast of Novobakhmutivka in the Avdiivka direction over the last day, and advanced in the area of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia direction, the General Staff reports.

Thus, in the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka direction, 8 enemy attacks near Novobakhmutivka, Berdychiv, Avdiivka and 16 more attacks in the areas of Pervomayske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region were repelled yesterday. To the southeast of Novobakhmutivka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces improved their tactical position.

It is also reported that in the Zaporizhzhya direction, the Defense Forces repelled an enemy attack near Robotyne in Zaporizhzhya region. In the area of Verbove, Ukrainian troops advanced, forcing the enemy to abandon some positions.

At the same time, in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 7 attacks near Synkivka and east of Petropavlivka in Kharkiv region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the Ukrainian army's defense.

Russians did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions in the Lyman direction.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 6 enemy attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Klishchiyivka and Andriivka in Donetsk region.

In the Maryinka and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue to expand their foothold. Despite significant losses, Russian troops continue to try to knock out Ukrainian units from their positions. Thus, the enemy conducted 9 unsuccessful assault actions yesterday.

A total of 57 combat clashes took place over the past day, according to the report as of 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
