Russians put pressure in four directions - Syrskyi

Russian troops are continuing to try to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops in the east of the country. The enemy is putting pressure in four directions. This was reported by the commander of the Eastern Military Group, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on Telegram.

According to him, the situation in the east of Ukraine remains difficult.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy is trying to capture Synkivka at any cost and create conditions for blocking Kupyansk. After suffering losses, the Russians regroup and move units from other areas. The total number of personnel in the enemy's assault units is over two thousand.

The Russians have resumed intensive offensives in the Lyman direction, wanting to push the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the Sribnyansky forestry area and expand the Torskyi ledge. Russian troops also want to capture Terny and reach the Black Stallion River.

In the Siverskyi direction, they are trying to develop an offensive in the areas of Spirne and Bilohorivka. The Russian Federation is preparing paratrooper assault units for an offensive in the direction of Soledar and Siversk.

Intense fighting continues in the Bakhmut direction. The enemy is trying to capture Bohdanivka and regain lost position in the areas of Klishchiyivka, Kurdyumivka and Andriivka. The assault groups of the "volunteer corps", relocated from the south, are operating here. The Russians have also sent marines of the Caspian flotilla to attack.

According to Syrskyi, in the east, the Russians began to use more armored vehicles, kamikaze drones and increased artillery shelling.

"In all directions of the enemy's offensive, our commanders at all levels are taking the necessary measures to strengthen defense and prevent the enemy's advance," the general said.

Despite the difficult situation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back the Russian advance.

"For instance, over the last week alone, the occupants lost over 3,000 personnel in the eastern direction, including over a thousand killed. 361 units of enemy equipment were destroyed and damaged. Among them are 43 tanks, 83 armored combat vehicles and 69 artillery systems," said Syryskyi.
