Russia attacks south of Ukraine with Shaheds: there are hits in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions

Russian troops once again attacked the south of Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones. The shelling resulted in hits in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. This was reported in the Telegram of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine.

The Russian attack took place from the temporarily occupied Crimea and the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov.


During the two waves of attacks, lasting 2 and 4 hours, air defense units managed to eliminate 9 Shahed-131/136 attack drones:

  • 4 in Odesa region;
  • 4 in Mykolaiv region;
  • 1 in Kherson region.


Despite this, it was not possible to avoid hits.


In Odesa district, the enemy hit an infrastructure facility in an open area. The fire was quickly extinguished and no casualties were reported.


In the Mykolaiv region, a shell hit an industrial facility and damaged warehouse buildings. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
