The commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Mykola Oleshchuk reported the downing of a Russian Su-34 bomber in the Mariupol direction the night before. Oleshchuk wrote about this in his telegram channel.
"It has been confirmed that our anti-aircraft missile system has shot down a Su-34 fighter-bomber in the Mariupol direction. It did not return to the airfield," the Armed Forces commander said in a statement.
Earlier, telegram channels reported that a Su-30 was shot down near Odesa, but the Air Force has not yet confirmed this. According to Oleshchuk, "the materials of objective control are being studied to find out whether the target was hit or not."
