The Slovak side has partially resumed the passage of trucks through the Uzhhorod checkpoint

The Slovak side has partially resumed operations to allow trucks to enter its territory since 19:30 on December 13, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported on Thursday.

"As of 6:00 a.m., 28 trucks have been registered to leave Ukraine at the Uzhhorod checkpoint. 24 of them have already passed all types of control on the Slovak side," the department said in a statement.

The State Border Guard Service reminds that it was previously reported that two trucks per hour would be allowed to enter Slovakia. In fact, 3-4 trucks are allowed to enter per hour.

As a reminder, the Union of Road Carriers of Slovakia (UNAS) has blocked truck traffic through the only border crossing point with Ukraine, Vysne Nemecke-Uzhhorod, since 15:00 on December 11.

According to the eCherha system, 1181 trucks are waiting to enter Slovakia.
