Zelensky on goals for 2024: Air dominance and disruption of Russian offensive

Ukraine wants to achieve two military goals in 2024. One of them is to deprive Russia of air superiority. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at a briefing after a meeting with US President Joe Biden.

The head of state emphasized that the Ukrainian military is making progress and this year was able to defeat Russia in the Black Sea. The remnants of the Russian fleet are "hiding" in remote bays.

Against this background, Ukraine has created an export corridor in the Black Sea, which contributes to the country's economic growth and global food stability, Zelensky added.

According to the president, Ukraine is moving in the right direction and he wants to discuss with Biden "how to strengthen this movement."

"Especially strengthening our air defense and the ability to destroy Russia's logistics. Our goals for 2024 are clear - to deprive Russia of air superiority and disrupt its offensive operations. This is realistic," Zelensky emphasized.
