The enemy is moving its assault units to the Kupyansk direction to intensify assault operations, said Volodymyr Fitio, head of the public relations service of the Ground Forces Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, during a telethon.
"The enemy is now redeploying its assault units to the Kupyansk direction to intensify assault operations. Still, they are relying more on the human factor than on equipment," he said.
Fitio noted that Russian troops are active throughout the entire area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Brigade. In total, 7 hostile attacks were repelled in the Kupyansk-Lyman direction yesterday.
"The enemy is trying to capture Sinkivka to organize a foothold for an attack on Kupyansk in the future. Fighting also continues near Teren and Vesele," he said.
Moreover, the enemy actively uses hostile aircraft: 17 air strikes in this area over the last day. Also, the enemy used 16 kamikaze drones and fired 477 times from artillery and mortars.
"Our defenders managed to reduce the number of Russian occupants on Russian soil by 224 people, destroy 23 pieces of equipment, including one tank and three armored personnel carriers," noted Fitio.
