Ukraine asks the US for Sentinel radars to protect against missile attacks in winter

By winter, Ukraine wants to receive short-range Sentinel radars from the United States, which are suitable for tracking ballistic missiles, low-flying UAVs, airplanes, and helicopters. The country is now preparing for a season of repeated Russian missile attacks on energy infrastructure and civilian targets, Politico reports.

The arrival of these radars, according to Kyiv, is crucial to surviving the winter.

"The new radars will provide more coverage for areas of the country that suffer from daily Russian strikes and can be used to protect factories where Ukrainians intend to produce their own weapons," the report said.

As a reminder, on November 15, the US House of Representatives passed a bill to fund the government without aid to Ukraine.
