No decisions have been made on the issue of changing Ukrainian commanders. But if there are any such changes, the public will be informed. This was emphasized by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov during a joint press conference with his German counterpart Boris Pistorius.


Thus, when asked about the possibility of dismissing the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Nayev and the commander of the Tavria airborne missile system Oleksandr Tarnavsky, Umerov avoided a direct answer.


"The topic of changing commanders is covered by all the parameters that we discuss in our internal perimeter. In this regard, we have to say that no decision has been made yet, but we are doing everything possible to increase efficiency. And if this happens, we will communicate with you very openly," the Defense Minister said.


He added that if such things happen, in particular, the dismissal of commanders, "they are either due to issues that arose earlier or are discussed in order for us to achieve greater efficiency."
