President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the attempts on his life and the Russian plan to remove him from power in an interview with The Sun.
"The first attempt is very interesting when it is the first, and then everything goes like clockwork. First, people don't know what to do, and it looks very scary. And then it's just that the intelligence is sharing with you the details that another group has come to Ukraine to do this," he said.
According to the president, he has lost count of the attempts to assassinate him since the beginning of the full-scale invasion: "I survived 5-6 assassination attempts by Putin. The first one was the most interesting. And then it's like Covid, it gets easier."
Zelensky also reiterated that a "third Maidan" is being prepared in Ukraine to oust him from the presidency. According to him, Russia is preparing such a Maidan.
"The operation is called Maidan 3. It is intended to change the president. Maybe not by killing him. I mean, it is changing. They will use whatever tools they have. The idea was by the end of the year. But, as you can see, we can live with it," the President of Ukraine said.
