Today, November 20, the bodies of 94 more fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine. This is reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.


"Today, we managed to return the bodies (remains) of 94 Ukrainian defenders to the government-controlled territory," the statement said.


It is noted that the return of the fallen soldiers was carried out by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the SBU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Armed Forces, the State Emergency Service in Sumy region, border guards and representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross.


It is also reported that in accordance with the norms of International Humanitarian Law, the bodies of combatants who died in connection with the armed aggression against Ukraine were handed over to the opposite side.


"The Armed Forces of Ukraine will ensure the transportation of repatriated bodies and remains to designated state specialized institutions for transfer to law enforcement officials and forensic experts to identify the victims," the headquarters added.
