Without financial support from its Western partners, Ukraine will have to choose between social security and military spending. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a conversation with African media representatives.
"Financial support for social benefits is an important issue. I will tell you frankly - it will be very difficult without support. Because all the money that Ukraine earns, we all give to our military," Zelensky said.
He explained that without help from its allies, Ukraine would have to choose between social security and spending on the army, and this could lead to a crisis.
"It will be necessary to either reduce support for the military, payments to them, or not provide social assistance. That is, it will be a crisis in any case. Will it affect the course of the war? Yes, it will. Will it stop our fight? No," Zelensky emphasized.
